To ensure that each of you receive the best hair service experience possible, we want to refresh everyone on our policies and give some friendly reminders.
• Pricing
Please review service prices listed on the salon website prior to asking how much a service is.
All prices are starting prices and may be more if additional time, labor or product is required beyond a typical hair service due to high hair density, complexity, additional color etc. For example, if you want even more blonde highlights, it will require more effort and time.
If you don’t have high density hair or anything that requires additional work or complexity beyond a typical service the price is the starting price.
• Scheduling
Scott and his assistant are a two person team and we are fully booked throughout the day. In order to create an uninterrupted experience for our clients we only respond to text messages and do not answer phone calls.
We will respond to you at our soonest availability. Messages received after 4:30 pm Tuesday-Thursday will be returned the following morning after 10:00 am. Messages received after 4:30 pm Friday or on the weekend will be returned on Monday.
Please schedule thoughtfully and communicate the specific services you need at the time of booking, so we have adequate time scheduled for you.
• 72-Hour Rescheduling / Cancellation Policy
Appointments cancelled within the 72-Hour Cancellation Policy result as follows and must be paid in advance in order to reschedule.
72 hours: 25% of scheduled service due
48 hours: 50% of scheduled service due
24 hours: 100% of scheduled service due
• Late Appointments No last minute reschedules or late arrivals. Appointments that are 10 minutes late or greater, will not be serviced or rescheduled. We’ve reserved this time for you and won’t disrupt other clients appointments who do arrive on time.
• Removing a Hair Service from your Appointment Please communicate any changes to your appointment at least 36 hours in advance. For example, if you have a haircut booked along with additional hair services, but no longer want the haircut, we must be notified a minimum of 36 hours in advance to avoid paying for the service that you reserved.
•Adding a Hair Service to your Appointment If you decide you want to add more to your color service than was originally scheduled, please notify us at least 2 weeks in advance and we will do our best. Scott’s schedule is tightly booked month’s out and there isn’t any room to accommodate additional hair services that are requested last minute without advance notice.
• Unanticipated Extensive Hair Services It is your responsibility to communicate at the time of booking if your hair has characteristics that requires additional time. In the event that a color service is a larger project than anticipated requiring additional time resulting in running behind schedule, client agrees to forego receiving a blow dry. Examples include high density hair or hair that tangles excessively after shampooing.
• Artistry Scott is an artist that specializes in creating high-end, classic and sophisticated looks. His highlights are natural-looking and sun-kissed. He does not do chunky highlights, balayage, razor cuts, edgy cuts, shags, choppy messy looks, lob’s, v-shaped haircuts or bob’s with strong wavy hair textures. Please verify that the type of cut and color you want correlates with the images on his Google and Instagram platforms.
Please maintain the position he places your head while he is working on you and refrain from talking with animated hand movements to ensure quality results. Clients that have to be continually reminded may not be rebooked.
Scott tends to minimize conversation during services, such as applying highlights to allow for precision application.
•Weather Related Cancellations
We want your drive to and from the salon to be safe. We will provide advanced notification of salon closure in the event of an anticipated ice storm or any other severe weather condition.
Premature cancellations based on anticipated weather forecasts that may not transpire are subject to cancellation fee noted above. Severe weather that results in hazardous driving conditions must be actively present within the commute time of appointment to avoid cancellation fee.
•Hair Salon Video Recording Consent Agreement
By receiving services at Scott Risk Hair, you acknowledge and consent to being video recorded during your appointment. These recordings may capture before-and-after footage, ongoing treatments, and other educational content related to the services provided.
The primary purpose of these recordings is for promotional and educational use on our social media platforms and other marketing channels associated with Scott Risk Hair. No personal information or confidential conversations will be disclosed in these videos without your explicit permission.
If you do not wish to be recorded or if you have any concerns regarding the use of the recorded content, please notify our staff prior to your service. Your comfort and privacy are our top priorities.
By continuing with your service, you provide Scott Risk Hair with the full right and permission to publish, reproduce, and use these videos, including for commercial purposes, without compensation.

• Personal Conduct
The salon is a professional environment and one in which we are honored to do to our best to meet your hair needs. Additionally, we promise to always treat everyone with respect and consideration. We insist that our clients also follow this standard. We are near full capacity with our clientele and only accepting positive, quality clients.
Scott will consult with you about your haircut after your hair has been washed. He does not perform the haircut consultation prior to shampooing.
Please utilize earbuds if using your phone.
We love children, however, please make arrangements for them during your appointment.
Arrive with your hair fully dry for color services.
